DUT

Dalian University of Technology (DUT) is a national key university under the direct leadership of the Ministry of Education. DUT has three campuses (Lingshui, Development Zone and Panjin) in two cities (Dalian and Panjin).

DUT keeps the education of talents as its primary mission and attaches equal importance to undergraduate and graduate programs. State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals

 The State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals, Located in Dalian University of Technology, was founded by the Chinese government in 1989. The major research focuses of the laboratory fall into 3 categories with the profiles of both fundamental and applied aspects:

(1) Dyes and dye-related photochemistry;

(2) Advanced functional materials;

(3) Environmentally benign technologies for fine chemicals.

The laboratory has a strong faculty of 68 permanent researchers, including 1 academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, 6 Changjiang Professors of the Ministry of Education, 2 Changjiang Guest Professors, 8 awardees of the National Outstanding Young Scientists from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and 19 winners of the New Century Excellent Young Talent Award from the Ministry of Education.

The State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals has made a remarkable contribution to the science and economy of China. The research activities in this laboratory have been mainly funded by the Chinese government through various programs, such as National Basic Research Program (973), National High Technology Research and Development Program (863), Natural Science Foundation as well as “211” and “985” projects. The mighty government programs together with industrial funds have effectively promoted the establishment of the well-defined research platforms and related infrastructures.

During the past 5 years, the laboratory has published more than 1500 SCI-indexed papers, and has been officially granted about 200 patents (national or international). Many innovative technologies have been successfully commercialized. Three projects won prestigious National Awards for Technological Invention or Science and Technical Progress.

Dalian city
